Our journey began in 2013 when CEO Roger Voladarsky decided he wanted more than what the industry standard could provide. The product was getting better and better, but the means of consumption was stagnant. In response, he brought together the disciplines of design, technology, and engineering to create Puffco, with the mission of providing the best platform for concentrate consumption. Before we arrived, most vaporizers utilized fibrous wicks (which gives you a burnt cotton taste), glues that held the bowl or coil in place (which created a toxic bi-product), and/or plastics used in the airpath (also creating toxic bi-products). Why smoke the pen when you could be smoking strictly what you decide to put inside. In response, we developed a cleaner, safer, and more flavorful industry standard by doing away with all of the above. We also added the first temperature controls to a vaporizer pen, so you could further dial in your experience.
“In 1962 Gordon and Carole Segal had just returned from their honeymoon in Europe where they had been amazed by all of the simple, well-designed and affordable things they had purchased for their home back in Chicago. Things like gorgeous handmade glassware, practical but very nice dinnerware and beautiful ceramic serving pieces. They realized that no store in the Midwest had these wonderful, affordable products for people like them who were just starting out. So being young risk-takers and passionate about all they had seen, they set out to introduce this exciting idea to Chicago.
That first store was in an old elevator factory on Wells Street, which was on the verge of becoming a very trendy street with stores, antique shops and restaurants. After taking six months to convince the occupants to move, the Segals had just two weeks to set up shop before the Christmas season began. All of their start-up funds had gone into inventory…so crating lumber was hammered over the battered plaster walls, shelves were covered with dyed burlap, and crates and barrels from the first shipments were turned over to become store fixtures. “Crate and Barrel” wasn’t just a clever name—it was a name based on necessity.
After all of this successful expansion, the original spirit of the first Crate and Barrel storeendures more than 50 years later. We continue to share our passion and excitement for all things “home” by providing quality products, timeless designs and expert guidance. At Crate and Barrel, we pride ourselves on being an authority in home design with an expertise in entertaining. With fresh, seasonal styles and a unique point of view on the latest trends, we remain a place that both ourassociates and customers are happy to call…home.” - C&B

FIESTA®, America's favorite dinnerware, was introduced by The Homer Laughlin China Company with great fanfare at the Pittsburgh China & Glass Show in January, 1936. FIESTA® was an immediate hit with the public and, by it's second year of production, more than one million pieces were produced. The first six colors were produced through the 1930's and 40's until a change in fashion direction dictated a change to a softer palette of pastel colors at the beginning of the 1950's color trends moved back to brighter colors in the early 1960's and FIESTA® moved with the trend. By the late 60's earth-tones were in vogue and the dinnerware industry turned in that direction. Popularity of these colors proved to be short-lived and sales began to fall. At the end of 1972, FIESTA® was retired after 37 years of production.
In 1985, officials of Bloomingdale's, the prestigious retailer in New York City approached Homer Laughlin about reproducing a dinnerware line from the past. Soon the two companies agreed that FIESTA® had the greatest chance for commercial success. Today, Homer Laughlin introduces one new color each year and FIESTA® has become the leading dinnerware brand in casual tabletop, as well as a consistent leader in bridal registries across America. All the while, collectors have continued to add to the dinnerware to which they were first introduced by their mothers and grandmothers. Today, FIESTA® dinnerware is the most collected dinnerware in the history of the tabletop industry with well over one half billion pieces produced.
"Blackfire® was founded in 2008 with the objective of transforming bright ideas into clever products, characterized by high‐end design. Breaking out of the “tubes with bulbs” mentality and providing real solutions that answered user needs made more sense.
Each Blackfire® product is thought of with the user foremost in mind. Questions are asked; what tasks will the user undertake and what are the needs around them? How do the products interact ergonomically with the user? What performance characteristics would be most beneficial to the user? Blackfire® began with Clamplight - a light like no other. Using state of the art LED technology we’ve added the ultimate in versatility and performance with the ability to swivel in multiple directions, clamp to various objects, and stand on surfaces. Since that time Blackfire® has added an entire range of products for specific needs. An emergency light, a fully waterproof light, a lantern, a worklight, and a spotlight are just some of them. The response from you the consumer, to what we are doing, has been overwhelmingly positive and helps fuel our passion to develop even more.
All Blackfire® products are protected by extensive patents and other intellectual property both in the US and abroad. Blackfire® works with only highly respected suppliers and puts each product through numerous testing and quality assurance procedures. Blackfire® strives to be as ecologically responsible within the competitive confines of the markets.
Above all we’ll be bringing you more and more products that bring a smile to your face when you realize you don’t have to put a flashlight in your mouth to use two hands to work or can really aim light exactly where you need it." -Bruce Ancona

“The original Pottery Barn opened in 1949, among the docks and warehouses of West Chelsea in lower Manhattan. Our founder, Paul Secon, took a sacred approach to well-designed merchandise. He specialized in tabletop seconds and closeouts, offering customers great value on fashionable, exclusive home wares.
Over the years, our brand started to offer a variety of kitchen and decorative household items. It expanded to the West Coast and was purchased by The Gap Stores, Inc. in 1983 — and then Williams-Sonoma, Inc. three years later. The world- famous Pottery Barn catalog, now mailed to millions of customers each year, launched in 1987.
Our brand has continued to evolve, including the addition of our Design Studio and an increased emphasis on craftsmanship and high-quality materials. Today, we focus heavily on four areas: innovating our designs, giving back to our planet and global communities, offering top-notch service to our customers and creating enduring products. From our design floor in San Francisco to our stores around the world, our end-goal remains the same: To help our customers live a more functional, beautiful and comfortable life at home. ” -PB
